GIVEN OR RAISED?

TORCHBEARERS MINISTRIES INT.
ARTICLE BY APOSTLE JOSEPH MINTAH
MINISTRY MONDAY
Acts 13:21-22
And afterward they asked for a king: so God GAVE them Saul….
22: And when He had removed him, He RAISED up for them David as King…… (NKJV)

From the above scripture we see the one of the main
differences between Saul and David was that whereas Saul was GIVEN to them,
David was RAISED. David being raised up for the kingship simply means he went
through process. He was anointed as a youth and declared the next king but it
took him many more years (about 20yrs) to finally see the manifestation of that
prophecy and impartation. Though he was declared king, he went through
persecution and affliction even faithfully serving Saul who obviously had
missed God. Yet he endured till the time of his manifestation
There are three stages of our lives as ministers: They are
IMPARTATION, INCUBATION, MANIFESTATION. When God calls you, that is
impartation, after the call, He trains you before He commissions you. From
calling to commissioning may take several years depending on your assignment
and your pliability. That is process. Don’t jump process. Don’t rush to be seen
or heard. Go through process, stay under authority, be faithful in another
man’s field, endure hardness as a good soldier, be careful of the song of the
women saying ‘Saul has killed his thousands but David tens of thousands’, at
the right time, God will set you in your place and nobody can bring you down
because you were not just given, you have been raised. Saul’s kingdom couldn’t
even move to the next generation. David had a dynasty. Even Jesus is seated on
David’s s throne. Because he was RAISED. Wait for your DAY. John the Baptist
was in the wilderness till the DAY he went to show Himself to Israel (Luke
1:80). Even though he was in the wilderness, all Israel went to him, because it
was His day. Stay in the wilderness (incubation) till the day of your
manifestation.

Man of God, don’t jump ahead of God.
