THE PROFILE OF A MINISTER (MENTORSHIP 2)

TORCHBEARERS MINISTRIES INT.
ARTICLE BY APOSTLE JOSEPH MINTAH
MINISTRY MONDAY

We are still talking about the 13Ms of a minister. Last week we got to mentorship. Today I want to continue with the teaching on mentorship.

Your mentor doesn’t only give you Bible teachings but is close enough to admonish you on other aspects of your life.

1 Timothy 5:23
“Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and yours often infirmities.”

In the above scripture, Timothy received advice from his mentor on his health.

* Your mentor covers you with love and prayer (2 Tim 1:3)

* Your mentor sacrifices for you (1 Thess 2:8)

* A good mentor will not put pressure on you to give him money (1 Pet 2:1-5, 2 Cor 12:14)

* He will not bring you under bondage to his demands (2 Cor 11:20)

* A good mentor must also be under recognizable authority (3 John 9).

* A good mentor should be a good example (1 Cor 11:2)

I will continue next week with your responsibilities to your mentor. Stay blessed.
